When you enable disk use in an iPod, it warns you that you must now click in "disconnect iPod" to take it out. (When you only use it as a music player you don't have to do this).

My question is. Is there really a problem if I disconnect the iPod when using it as a disk withouth clicking "disconnect iPod"? Would the iPod die sonner or would the files damage?

Thanks,

Roco

I've never damaged an iPod by disconnecting it while it's mounted. I've done this many times, though never on purpose. In theory, the iPod is functioning like any other external drive, meaning you could only hurt it if data was being written to it at the time it was disconnected.
