iPod ipod shuffle doesnt appear in itunes

has anyone experienced this? seems like my ipod shuffle never shoes up in itunes when i connect it to my mac. it works fine, I listen to it all the time. I just cant get it to show up.

Anyone know of any tricks to get it to show up, or get it to mount outside of itunes?

I am having the same problem. However it is with my iPod Touch on Windows. The Apple Mobile Device plugin or something is not working...

I have an Ipod shuffle and it usually works take oujt the earphones and plug it in that way .

I have this problem occasionally with my 2nd generation shuffle. It seems to happen occasionally after I've charged with an external power supply instead of the computers USB port. Rebooting, by turning the power switch off for a second, then back on, seems to have always solved the problem.

I also have the same problem with my 1st generation iPod shuffle. It works fine before but now it couldn't show up even as a regular USB device. Anyone has the same problem?
