iPod iPod Shuffle headphones

I just bought my wife an iPod shuffle and the headphones say Taiwan on cord, I've owned apple products for years and have never seen this before. Has anyone encountered this before? Makes them look cheap.

What makes them look cheap? The microscopic word "Taiwan" that is printed on the cord in almost the same color. Come on. You prefer "Made in China" when some of the cheapest **** is made there? But, as the other poster said, they come from all over. I have had Vietnam and China and I believe that some are from Brazil and the Philippines.
