I just got the new Shuffle today, and sync in some playlists (with songs) into the device in addition to other songs that AREN'T in any playlist.

Now here's the problem. When I play the Shuffle, it ONLY allows me to select from the different playlist, that means for songs that aren't in any playlist I have no access to them in the Shuffle. Is there a way for me to select "ALL SONGS" in the Shuffle so I can get songs that aren't in any playlist to play? What's the point of Auto Filling the Shuffle with random songs if it doesn't even play those songs that aren't in a playlist?

Thanks very much.

Press and hold the voiceover button to hear the playlists. One of them should say "All songs" and you just press the play button to select it.

No, I have cycle through all of the playlist and none of them say "All Songs". It only cycle through the playlist I have created. I hope it's not some gigantic error Apple did to the Shuffle 4.

Well.. that is very interesting because my shuffle is able to select "All Songs".. wonder if its defected.

Do you have the new Shuffle or was it Gen 3?
Also, did you select "Entire Music Library" or "Selected Playlists, Artists, Albums and Genres" when you sync your Shuffle?

Yes, I just got the new shuffle yesterday. I selected the "Manually manage my music" and I just dragged my playlists from Itunes onto my shuffle.

Just tried your method, and still it doesn't work. Probably a defect...

When you press the voice over button down to cycle through playlists, it first says the playlist u are on, followed by 'all songs', unless u are already in 'all songs' in which case it will say 'all songs' first and continue to cycle through your playlists. I think if u switch to repeat all on the switch and then back to shuffle it defaults back to all songs. Could have been a fluke I noticed though.

I tried for hour and it still doesn't work. It doesn't say 'All Song' at all. It only cycles through my created playlist, and therefore the songs that aren't in any playlist will not be able to play in any way.

Did u try switching from shuffle to repeat all and back to shuffle? If u still have no joy, get a replacement :)
