I have a Smart Playlist setup that takes contains the two most recent episodes of a podcast; everything shows up properly in iTunes. If I set the iPod Shuffle (2G) to "Autofill" from that playlist, it clears all of the music off the iPod but doesn't upload the episodes of the podcast. If I manually drag the Podcasts to the Shuffle, it loads and plays them fine.

If I make a Smart Playlist that does the same thing, but for music tracks, it works as expected.

Is there some trick that I'm missing? Some hidden way to get a proper "Podcasts" tab in iTunes for the Shuffle?

Or is there a good place to report bugs to Apple?

Unfortunately, that's just the way it works:

Adding Audiobooks and podcasts to iPod shuffle
The Autofill feature of iTunes will not add audiobooks and podcasts to iPod shuffle. Instead, you should manually add audiobooks and podcasts to iPod shuffle by dragging them to the iPod shuffle playlist.

I was wondering the same thing. I never would have guessed that it was intentional though. Does anyone know why they decided to do this?
