So i was considering buying a ipod shuffle 3g to last untill september. One thing that bothers me is why doesnt the ipod touch have voice control? That would really make me get it. because i dont have a lot of songs but it would be nice to say a command and it would play a certain song, album, or artist.

Could apple do this? All they would have to do is include a mic in the headphones, Im not sure if it already does, and a minor software update. Am i right? Or is it a hardware limitation?

It is a hardware limitation, voice control requires a lot of processing power something the shuffle doesn't have.

You know what would make me buy it? A touchscreen. That would be neat too. I'd definitely buy one then.

Oh wait, I've already bought one.

Its priced well inside impulse buy range, and practically within 'oh well, thats that' range for when its lost/ trodden/ washed.

It wouldn't be great as a 'my first iPod', but works well as the additional.
