iPod iPod songs disappear

i have this problem where all songs on my ipod randomly disappear. in order to get them back i have to restore and resync the ipod. its really annoying and happens randomly. i have the current 120gb ipod
 
Sounds like there's an issue with the drive itself if you have to restore/resync so often. Still under warranty?
