Hello all,

I'm a new owner of the ipod Touch 2G and, as I'm sure many of you are aware, the bluetooth adapter motorola provides for its S9 bluetooth headset does not work with the second generation Touch. It will work correctly with the first generation Touch.

I believe this is due to the speaker output of the 2G Touch. The first generation Touch was pretty much identical to any other ipod as far as its sound output was concerned, which makes the 2G closer to an iPhone than an iPod in that respect.

Of course, it may simply have something to do with the programming of the Motorola adapter, especially considering the Sony ipod bluetooth adapter works fine with the 2G Touch.

Does anyone think that Apple or Motorola will fix this issue? I will not relish paying for another adapter when the one I have works fine, especially if Apple does surprise everyone and enable bluetooth functionality with the Touch. And it would really be nice to be able to use some of the apps that use microphones since there is a microphone in my headset, but until then, has anyone found any other solutions?

UPDATE:

I've come across a mic that will work with any headset (wired). It costs $9.99 at Target. It is tested and proven to work with the Touch 2G but it looks like it will work with any model. Here is the URL: http://www.target.com/Philips-iPhon...UTF8&index=target&rh=k:phillips iphone&page=1

I hope that helps someone out there.
