I bought a used ipod touch 2g from a friend a while back and everything was okay. Then like 3 weeks ago, the screen stopped responding to touch...so I researched online and bought a replacement screen. After carefully reassembly, I turned it on and got the WSOD. This techie guy I know said that probably my LCD went bad, so I replaced that too (inexpensive, luckily). Now I'm back to the original issue of my touch screen not working. :( It recognizes the ipod in iTunes and on my WinXP and Ubuntu 10.4, and syncs to it as well. Any suggestions? Thx

maybe is a cable or connector, im not the best on this subject. i bet someone here can help. it could literally be anything. so the touch does not respond but the lcd actually works so that narrows it down a bit.

Hey...

Thanks, Dr. I just am trying to find and exhaust every solution before "replace motherboard" becomes my reality. :(
