Hey everyone, I had to restore the firmware on my ipod touch 2g last night because it was being very slow. The firmware update went fine, but it now syncs very slow. I went to bed at 4am this morning and woke up 30 minutes ago and it was still syncing. I am trying to put a little over 6100 songs on it. This used to take no time at all. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Is the iPod connected through a USB hub? Is the USB cable damaged at all?

It sounds like it has connected at the slower USB 1.1 "Full Speed" instead of the faster USB 2.0 "High Speed".

Wow. I am speechless. I never thought to check the cable. It had a kink in it and now my ipod is doing 100+ songs a minute. Thank you!

Edit: Nevermind, I added another playlist to the ipod and it is once again painfully slow.
