Ipod touch 3rd gen no update yet?

Still no update for it in UK anybody else having issues finding a new update? Still saying the old version and my Ipad found the update.

It's an 8GB third gen model anybody confirm if i will get the update or is it just 64GB models?

The 8GB 3rd gen is identical hardware-wise to the 2nd gen iPod Touch. I don't think it's going to get iOS 5. Only the 32 and 64 GB versions of the 3rd Gen touch got updated internals that year.

Correct. There is no 8GB 3rd gen, that's the 2nd gen. The 3rd gen only has 32 and 64gb. The latest update for the 2G is 4.2.1.
