Has anyone else got the iPod Touch 4th gen? I got it today. It was so much faster than my 2nd gen. So much smaller, thinner, sleeker, and incompatible with my wall charger! Oh wait, that last thing wasn't a good thing. Oh well.

Here's the thing: Apple's website claims that the iPod Touch 4 takes HD videos, and HQ pictures. However, every video I've taken looks like you're watching it though that glass at the doctor's office, and every picture I take looks like it's been turned into a chalk painting.

However, I've seen...wait...did I say chalk painting? I meant chalk art thingy...yeah Anyway, I've seen videos on YouTube and such that show the quality of the video in HD. I tried uploading one of these so-called HD videos, and it is not HD!

Is something wrong with my camera? Has someone else had a problem with this?

well technically the ipod touch 4 does shoot 720 pixel however it's very very compressed.

if you uploaded the video to youtube from your itouch it will only upload it in regular quality. If you transfer it to your computer then upload it it will be in hd.

Again don't expect it to be point in shoot quality in fact the camera in the back is barley a megapixel.

Apple are not stupid!

iPod Touch camera is no where near the quality of the iPhone 4 after all there has to be something (apart from the obvious) missing in the iPod Touch to make you want to go and buy an iPhone 4 Apple are not stupid! They will only update the quality on the touch when they have improved the camera on the iPhone. Take a look at my iPod Touch 4th Gen review by clicking the link below.

Misleading

It's unfortunate that people may have been misled and consumer's expectations of the new iPod touch. There is definitely several reasons why this was done. There is always room for improvement for next year's iPod media event.
