Hi,
I did some searching through the internet on why my ipod touch 5 32gb does not charge in my car 12v with a griffin adaptor. I read the new lightning connector is all digital and might not charge in car. But the funny part is, I can charge my iphone 5 in the same car, with same cable and same adaptor. Why would the iphone 5 charge but not the ipod touch 5? Both run iOS 6.1.3. I can even charge my ipad 1st gen in the car! I tested diferent cables and nothing. I will display charging for 1 sec and then it goes back to battery. It will charge though with the wall plate and the computer's usb.

Hm...I don't know. Has your car ever had any glitches or anything? Sometimes a glitch will strike your iPod touch and it will not work for some things. This has happened to my brother. (not with the car though) However, sometimes when I plug my iPod touch charger (connected to my iPod touch) into my mother's vehicle's outlet, it says "Error16". When it does that, I turn my iPod touch off, and then turn it back on. I also change the player from usb to fm to cd to aux, and when my iPod touch is back on, it automatically puts it back on usb, and it works. Have you tried that with yours?:apple:

If what I said did not work, and nothing else you have tried has worked, I would call Apple. Usually they have a solution, they can fix it, or they know someone who can. :):D:apple:
