iPod touch apps worth paying for

I don't have an iPhone, only an iPod touch, so I haven't gotten a chance to play with any of the free apps yet. But looking through the App Store is seems that there are some very useful apps for free.

My big question is which ones are going to be worth paying for. Seeing as there are a lot under $5-10, there could be quite a many that are worth it, especially for 99 cents.

Ones I have noticed while surfing the App Store that might be worth the payment are Band from MooCowMusic ($9.99), MPG (.99), Bible Verse ($2.99), Freecell ($1.99), and iRSS ($4.99). What do you all think?
 
I want to get a Sudoku game for my touch, but I have a dilemma - there are no less then 11 different Sudoku games on the App Store, ranging in price from 99 cents to $9.99. Satori Sudoku seems like it might be the best of the group for me, and at $1.99, it seems like a good deal. Plus, I really want to support indie developers over big companies if possible.
 
I'm definitely going to pay for some game apps. I haven't really seriously looked at the other free apps, I don't think I'd have any use for them, but games would help pass the time quite a bit.
 
1. FileMagnet for sure

2. Casia (sp?) Chess probably (would be for sure if puzzles were included)

3. Repeat for sure

4. One of the air hockey games

5. Supermonkey Ball for sure

6. One of the driving games

7. Sketches maybe, ok likely

8. Wait and see what user feedback is like ;-)

Looks like Mac only for now, and I don't even own one. However, I will be buying a Macbook as soon as the Montevina chipset lands in an update.

So I will be waiting till then to buy that one. My only question is, if I buy a bunch of apps now, how much of a pain will it be to transfer them to my Macbook iTunes?

Also, I'm sure a windows version will be out soon.

Apple quality tested stuff to make sure it worked, not if it was a quality idea I guess. Pricing was up to the user anyway. I could sell digital dog poop on there, as long as it really was digital dog poop, for $100. Up to the consumer if they'd buy my poop.
 
If you want a free flashlight, simply create an all-white picture and put it on your Touch. I Suppose the App might keep the Touch from timing out until you close it, but that can be done putting the white picture in a folder, then have the Touch do a repeating slideshow of it.

My wife's a doctor, so we put the free Epocraties (drug interactions and identification) app on hers first thing.

I put REMOTE on mine. Neat trick to control iTunes from your Touch. Not critical.

I'll probably get a Sudoku, although I have a web app one that is free and works so long as I'm within wifi range.

SuperMonkeyBall looks like it might be a great distraction.

There should be more Apps showing up each day. Keeping a lookout.

Search for the app "Light."

Filemagnet looks awesome. But you have to have Leopard. Darnit. My old iBook can't handle Leapord (I doubt).
 
I've only paid for 2 apps.. monkey ball and satori sudoku.

monkey ball was a bit pricey, but, hey, its a commercial game. controls are a bit fiddly, or maybe I just suck. still, quite good.

satori sudoku is simple and decent. no sounds, no crazy animations, no using the tilt or anything, just works.. and its cheap.

though, the real champ is aurora feint. free and great. better than a lot of the pay apps ive seen to boot...

a lot of the free apps are craptacular though.. hopefully will get better ones with time.
