So this is the problem I am having:

The battery is dead, so I'll charge it for two minutes and it will say it's full again. Then two minutes later it's dead again.
What I'm thinking is that there is an issue when it comes the OS. It thinks its dead when its not.

First restore it in iTunes to see if that helps. If that does not take it in to an apple store and have them replace it. Mine does that sometimes because it is a faulty battery, and I have yet to take it in and get replaced, which I shall do this weekend.

A two minute charge will show a full charge due to supplying current to the battery and settle to normal after a while.
Give it a full charge then see if it lasts two minutes.

I would do the following…

  1. Restore in iTunes to default factory settings.
  2. Try calibrating the battery.
  3. Then if those steps fail go to the Apple Store.
