not true, i use the 3rd gen firewire charger and i have NO problems with heat, and mine is even in a rubber case

I have been using a FireWire charger for my 3G Nano AND my Touch and no problems.

I use the charger from my iPod Photo with my touch, my son's touch and my wife's nano so you won't have a problem.
