iPod Touch dock like iPhone now?

On Apple's website, it seems that both the iPhone and the iPod Touch have the same, "corrugated" dock now.

Is this true?

And, I actually think that its a bit different than the original corrugated dock on the iPhone. I have an iPhone, and something looks different with the dock...i just can't put my finger on it.

On the version 1.1.3 firmware for the iPod Touch, you have to have the iPhone Dock. I wish you had the option of which Dock to use.

It is lame. Why not update the iPhone dock to match the iPod's? And keep a consistent look with Leopard as well? Don't like the new look at all.

I agree! I think the itouch dock is much nicer looking.

Go to the iPod Touch section of Apple's website, all of the previous photos of the iPod Touch with the transparent dock have been replaced with that grey monstrosity. The only place I found the transparent dock was in the tv spots they still have posted.
