iPod iPod Touch Mic and Charging Port Problems

My first generation iPod Touch is having an issue with the mic jack and the charging port not working. Both work if you move it around a bit, but if the iPod moves a little bit then the music will stop. I'm looking to replace just the mic jack and the charging port for my Ipod but cant find any place that can do that. I just called Apple and the best they could do was sell me a new one for $250.

Does anyone know of any place online that sells iPod parts for the 1G? I can find 2G and 3G parts, but not 1G. How hard would it be to replace these 2 things?

I had the same issue with my 1G, All you need to do is to take it to Apple store is there is one near you. Explain it's been a problem for a while and you just didnt have the time to take it in. They'll replace it for you if you convincing..... Be sure to take it to their stores NOT CALLING THEM.

The closest Apple store is 2 hours from me, so if i'm going to make the trip, i want to make sure this works. Its been out of warranty for a while, so how much do they usually charge for something like this?
