Hello,

I turned on my ipod today and all 8G of music were gone. I had initially sync'd with my iBook, then with my PC, then another Mac (was verified when I called Apple support that this was fine.) When I tried to sync again, a new message comes up that the "iPod can only sync with one library" but a) this was not what I was told when I bought it and b) it worked fine for 3 months sync'd with 3 different computers. Am I missing something? I could understand if this was clear when I bought it, or if I had not been previously using it perfectly for 3 months....now it is all gone, and the memory says 'free,' so I know the music is not somewhere else on the iPod. Any ideas?

iPod Touch music vanished - need help too!

The very same thing just happened to myself. It's the 32GB Touch, and I have had it for about three months now.

I have a Mac at home and a PC at work. I was surprised that I was able to access my music on my work PC even though it's Mac formatted.

But all of a sudden this morning, I docked it, and it wasn't showing any music. This has happened before, the reason being--I suspect--that my computer was just getting bogged down with other apps and 'forgot' to populate the music, because when I would eject and dock again, the music would be there.

Now, however, I am told I have no music on my iPod.

Where has it gone? I am at a complete loss here.

Oh, one other weird thing. I don't quite remember how much music I had, but it's telling me that I have no music, but 27.76GB of 'Other'.

In case it matters, I am running 1.1.4 and declined the 2.0 upgrade.

I have 16Gb iPod Touch and have experienced the same problem twice. The first time I completely restored my iPod, but I am looking for a more friendly solution.
iPod Touch 16 Gb 1.1.4 Jailbroke with ziphone.
