iPod ipod touch not working correctly

Okay I tried resetting the ipod touch to the factory setting. Once I was done, I clicked the music button, and when I touch the options it does nothing. Usually when I touch it, it takes me to different options, but it didn't. It did nothing! How do I fix it so when I go into music the buttons actually work?
