I currently have the EVO and love it, but am looking for something light weight for when i run. Previously when i had the iphone or any other phone, it was too heavy for running use. I'm looking at the new nano but then i noticed the second gen iPod touch is the Same price at $149. So it made me wonder if i should get the touch instead for the same price.

Anybody?

If you're only going to use it for listening to music while running, I recommend the Nano because of the clip and more compact, lighter design. You don't want a heavy duty player weighing you down if you're only going to be listening to music.

That depends on what is more important to you.

Want something super-lightweight and clip-on, primarily for playing music on the run? The nano is perfect for you. It's got a built-in FM radio, which the touch doesn't have, for when you get tired of your playlists. (I have a feeling that there may soon be a cottage industry for nano-specific apps in the App Store, provided there's enough demand and Apple alters the iOS 4 SDK to accommodate programming for the nano's smaller screen.)

Want something that can do considerably more, even though it's a little heavier and a bit more awkward to use while running? Then get the touch. If you've become accustomed to having the full functionality of the Evo, you may be disappointed by the limited "music player only" functionality of the nano.
