iPod Ipod touch screen issues

I purchased a touch 2nd gen. It has a smashed screen so i replaced it with a LCD off ebay and now i have another problem. The LCD and ipod starts up but the colours are wrong.... i.e. as photo below. It's like its really bright but at the same time the colours are wrong colours and the text is very faint hardly readable too...

Any ideas please?
