I have an odd problem with my iPod Touch 4G 64gig. (iTunes 10.5, iOS-5) It will go to restore instead of sync when I dock it. I does this with out permission. I also get an error message telling me iTunes was unable to sync. This error message pops up when the Touch is not docked, and as you know the Touch has to be docked in order to use WiFi Sync. I am assuming this problem stems from WiFi sync so I have shut it off to see if this is the cause. has anyone else had this problem.

My 4S recently did something similar, so it's not just you. I docked my 4S and just happened to look at it a few minutes later and iTunes was putting every app on my phone. Luckily I was able to cancel the sync through iTunes and it hasn't done it since.

This restore is a soft reset. So it reloads everything that was there before it just takes so long. I am not used to this sort of behavior in an Apple product. My Touch 4G does not run as smooth as it did before iOS-5. I pulled out the old Touch 2G with iOS-4.2.1 and it is silky smooth by comparison.
