today im going to show u how to connect to the internet on the ipod touch without having to find a hotspot.

to do so you will need a windows mobile device with a data connection service (such as web n walk)

first step you need to do is to turn off your wifi on the ipod touch and download the link on the bottom of the screen.

you then need to copy the application directly to your windows mobile device and run it. once the application has edited the registry, you will need to go onto

Start

Settings

And the Connections Tab

Open the Wifi Setting Applet or Network Cards for Windows Mobile 5 users.

Tap Add New

Name the network what ever you like and tick the This is a device to device (ad hoc) connection

Tap the Data encyption applet and tap disabled.

tap next, finish

now run the application you downloaded once more and let it hack the registry settings.

connect to the network you just created

once connected, enable the wifi on the ipod touch

tap settings and tap wifi and select the network you created, you can now access the internet on your ipod touch wherever you go.

I will be posting a Youtube Video :) :) :) :) :)

That's really quite impressive, and since it's simply using what it sees as a standard + connection, this (as long as the Windows Mobile device keeps working) will always work, without worry that a firmware update (to the iPod Touch/iPhone) could disable it.

Does this require a windows mobile smartphone, or simply a PDA not connected to any cell network? I have an HP Travelmate Rx series with a Wi-Fi radio, and a GPS radio, but no Cellular radio.

I had a question....is this possiible with a blackberry bold 9000? i have an ipod touch 2nd generation and i want to use my blackberry data plan with it.
