I really have no idea where to put this cause theres no help forum but I thought maybe someone here might know what to do.

I have a windows xp computer(waiting for tax return for my mac) and I had to reinstall windows I authorized this computer to work with iTunes and my purchases on my iPod won't transfer to iTunes. Does anyone have any insight on this? I tried google and people are getting no responses.

I've had the same issue as you, under the same circumstance. I too had just reinstalled XP, I have a1st yen iPod touch as well. The issue for me is that it is intermittenet when it comes to transfering purchases, especially wifi store purchases. The only remedy that I know of is to 1.) delete all screen shots and saved photos and 2.) delete any OTA downloaded podcasts. Then keep hitting the "transfer purchases button. If hat still doesn't work, call Apple. They'll put your ENTIRE purchases list in your download folder. Time wasting, but it's their "surefire" solution.
If you keep syncing your iPod, the purchases will end up being deleted off your iPod around the second time. For some reason, individual songs are more prone (for me) than entire albums. Good luck.

I think the catch is that you have to authorize iTunes with the iPod connected. Then try transferring purchases again.

Same

My iPod has a similar problem. I have a 4th gen iPod touch and I have been trying to transfer the purchases to a new computer. The computer is authorized and every time I order iTunes to transfer purchases it goes through the normal procedure as it should but when it is finished the apps are still not located in the library. I have been told one possibility is to put everything on a DVD and transfer it to my new computer. Is there any other method?
Also, my iPod has started to get a fuzzy picture whenever I attempt to transfer purchases. Is this a bad sign?
I have the new OIS and my computer runs on windows xp.
