iPod Update Freezes After A Few Songs

I just transitioned to an Intel iMac today, and my iPod 3G is having trouble on syncing with iTunes.

I plug it into the dock, it shows up on the desktop and in iTunes, starts to update, and freezes at around 16 songs.

Any help would be appreciated. (Yes I have restarted, multiple times...)
