I recently downloaded all of my friend songs and videos from his pc. But now

all the videos he sent me are like songs and dont come up in my videos in my

ipod. I have tried to go to info then options then to change the video type

but the box to change the video type to video, movie, music video, etc isnt

there. The videos are in the right format and all. What should i

do?

First step: in iTunes, select one of the videos in question. Play it by double clicking it. Does it show as a video in iTunes? If so, stop playback, make sure the video is still selected, and go to the Advanced menu bar item and select Convert Selection for iPod. It will either start the process of converting, or tell you it is already in the right format (or maybe something else if it is not a video).

Also, go to the original file locations for one of the videos and attempt to open them in whatever player you choose (VLC or Quicktime Player generally). If they are .wmv files download Flip4Mac's free software to allow you to play .wmv files within Quicktime. Also, for easy conversion to an iPod format from a .wmv, download and run iSquint.
