No... I have long since *sold* my ipod video (5.5 gen black) and moved to the ipod touch. but this seems very feasible...
My nano is currently and 32gb(granted I don't need the adapter) but there are many people who did this to their ipods, creatives, cowon's and even zune hd models with out much issue. Just check out a place like head-fi or google it.
right now, 32GB is more like a down grade from my 80GB HD ipod video. I may either upgrade to 160GB HD or leave it alone.
