Hey all, quick question about the iPod Video (5th Gen) - Is there a specific format of video that would save me some battery life? I'm going on an 18-hour trip to San Antonio, and I'd really like to be able to watch movies and listen to music as long as possible. I bought the Duracell instant battery USB charger, but I don't know how much it will help. Basically, I need as much use out of this thing as is possible. Any ideas from past experience?

I can't really help you on the video format issue, but I have a few suggestions.

1.Keep the brightness down, max 50%
2.Turn off the equalizer if it's on

I would have also bought a 12volt USB charger to charge the ipod or the Duracell Charger and/or alternate power sources to maximize the usage. Overall your looking at about 3 hours of video if fully charged. If you have the original 5G you will have about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
