I'm about to repair an iPod Video 60GB which has a cracked LCD. The owner's dog got a hold of it, and sunk a tooth into the display, cracking the LCD in the corner. It still works, and you can partially see some of the display. But a new LCD can be had for 25 bucks or less.

ifixit has the part for 25 bucks. But on eBay, you can get an LCD for 5 bucks or so. Is there any reason to pay 5 times as much to iFixit it?

You might need the top case as well. If he got through the LCD, he definitely got through the cover.

Hell, I'd give the $5 LCD a whirl! It's only $5!
