My wife has a black iPod Video. She's had it for 3 years now and never had any issues with it and it is still in mint condition (no scratches or dings whatsoever). Recently the battery stopped holding a charge (maybe it would last 30 minutes when not plugged in). I bought a replacement battery online and installed it (pretty easy to do).

But apparently I either did something wrong or there was something else wrong with the iPod. Now the only way to get the iPod working is to have it plugged into the wall. It will not turn on when it is not plugged in and will not come on when it is hooked up to our iMac or MB Pro via USB....only works via the wall charger. This happens with the new battery and also when I put the original battery back in.

Does anyone know what the issue may be here?

Thanks!
