Hi There,

I'm looking to buy two video iPods, (1 20gb, 1 60gb). I am a hardcore music fan and could easily get over the 40gig mark, and also am looking to use the iPod for storage. I was wondering what the consensus was on whether to wait on the next gen and what the upgrade might bring (Maybe an iPod bigger than 60gb?). Anyone?

Thanks,

Dan

They make a 30GB and 60GB. Not sure why you need two of the same model. Why not get a nano for something small, and a 60gb? What do you plan on storing on your Ipod? If you need more from for storage an external firewire/usb might be better for you they make selfpower ones. I have a 100GB, 80GB Firelite drive.

What are you using now?

Anything anyone would say here would be complete speculation so no one really knows.

Apple has almost consistantly upped the sizes of th ipods with each release. Logically the next size could be 80gigs and maybe even 100gigs. The rumors going around is that the next ipod will be a wide screen video centric version that will be an off-spring of the current version. This version is rumored to be a completely seperate "video" version that may have expen$ive features you wont need if you are only going to use it as a storage/music device.

Weather Apple will up the size of the normal "music" version is anyones guess.

My suggestion;
Unless you are looking for heavy video features dont wait. It could be months before we see a new pod.

I wuold buy. I've heard that it could very well be January before a new ipod appears. I agree if an ipod with video but not a video ipod is important to you, than this model suits you better actually. I would get a 60GB and a nano- when you're out and about you really won't want/need 60GB worth of music.

Sorry for the confusion

I'm buying two because one is for my girlfriend. Neither of us want to limit our music to a nano. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks though,

All great input!

Dan
