I have several videos in my 30GB video iPod and have 4.9GB free space left. I have added a new video to iTunes and played it in iTunes. When I connect my iPod, the video will not sync or show up on the iPod. I tried changing it to a "Movie" designation and chedking it to be synced but the title remains gray instead of black. What is the problem??

I am assuming you have already tried to convert said video to an iPhone/iPod compatible format using the option under the Advanced menu in iTunes?

I just tried that and it seems to have made a copy and put a blue dot next to it however it still does not show up on my iPod... I don't understand why it will play in iTunes but not go onto the iPod.

UPDATE, I now see the title had turned to black in the movie section so I checked it and then it sync'ed and now shows up on my iPod! I also went into options and changed it from a movie to a video so it shows up in the right spot.

THANK YOU!!!

The Force is strong with you.

sometimes videos/songs etc don't show up on an iphone/ipod if they don't have any 'info' (artist, album etc)

to fix this you would right click on said file, click 'get info' and then edit the info

not sure if this is what you were after but it might help someone in the future! :)

Thanks. I actually downloaded the video from youtube and then converted the file with Handbrake using the iPod LowRez setting. I thought that would do it but it appears that I needed to have iTunes convert it anyway. I used to use iSquint but that didn't work this time at all.
