Hi Everyone,

OK, here is my problem. By old 2nd gen ipod (fat rounded edge silver ones) and my friends new 80g ipod (large wide silver one) would charge themselves when plugged into my car audio system. My new ipod nano however will not do such things. I can only listen to music for a short time before the battery runs out. The audio systems cord goes in the bottom of the pod like it does when you hook it up to a computer. Ive search the web, and this site and found nothing that could help.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction or find a solution. Thanks

Mike

Different iPod versions have slightly different ways of charging. It's a hardware issue and there isn't any way to solve it. Just like how some iPods will only charge over USB and others only over Firewire. I think some will charge either way.

There isn't a solution.
