ohk, so i thought my ipod suffered the "300 charge death" thing so i havnt used it in about a year, but for some reason i hooked it up to my xbox 360 to see if it would charge just randomly, and it did!! yaya!!:D so i let it fully charge, for the first time in over a year, however, to my dismay, it wouldnt connect to itunes!!! but it is showing that it is charging through the computers usb port! ive tried all the usb ports on my compy but none work for itunes.....i really want to get my stuff off of it! and update it if aplicable.

thanks

There might be different causes for this type of problem but this same thing happened to my wifes ipod nano. Turned out to be broken pins in the ipod that will not allow connection to i-tunes, according to Apple Genius (some are not so). Had to buy another one. Initially I traded it in to get some credit on a refurbished one. It had issues with the click wheel, so then returned it and just bought a new one. Which is what i would recommend if you you have to go that route. You can keep your old one and play music off it, you just won't be able to update it.

yea

yea i was afraid of that, but i thought it had to do with the pins in it, but one thing that is annoying is that it takes me about a minute to actually get the ipod to connect to the compy bc i have to wiggle the connector in the slot for a while untill it reads....thanks for the advice!

that gives me another good reason to ask for the iphone for my birthday!

my phone fell in the lake, and now my ipod is broken! its almost as if destiny wants me to get an iphone!! :p

thanks!!
