iPod iPod wont show up in itunes, creates iPod folder/drive

ok I have my cousins new 3g ipod nano and i think i messed it up a lil bit because its in a loop of normal/connected (dont disconnect)/connected (can disconnect) and it wont show up in itunes oh and one other thing it keeps making iPod folder drive things like it looks like a folder and has the menu like an ipod/drive

any ideas :confused::confused::confused:
