iPod Ipod won't unlock

Hi.

I have an ipod nano gen 3. I locked it and the when i came back to it I couldnt unlock. The screen is lit up and shows that it is locked, even when it isnt. I cant press any buttons and itunes wont recognise it. Do you have any ideas what might of happened and how i can fix it?

if you are still in-warranty, then take it to an apple store....this is most likely a hardware malfunction.

if not, then get ready for some good ol' DIY
