Does anyone have any information on devices for attaching a memory card reader or digital camera directly to the current model iPod Classic?

The following blog post is my take on the current situation, but I wouldn't mind being wrong. I would love to use an iPod for image storage while I am traveling.

iPod and digital photo image storage.

I was really hoping that someone would know of a solution.

I would like to be able to attach a memory card reader to the iPod Classic for storing digital images while traveling or on a remote location.

There were several devices (Belkin had one) for earlier model iPods (they were incredibly slow though) but I have not been able to find anything for the current model iPod.

Thank you, George

I know Apple themselves make one but I dont know if it works with the classic.

Thanks but as far as I know the USB camera connector (from Apple) is no longer available.

I just checked the Apple iPod accessories site though and found an interesting (New) multi-purpose iPod/iPhone dock from Griffin.
