Hello,

I got a new iphone 11 and have the following problem: when watching/listening to youtube at increased speed (1.25x, 2x etc), the sound is warped/distorted/tinny. It's still understandable, but has a "metallic" distortion effect. Also, the phone runs hot and the battery drains fast.

This is not a speaker issue, as the same tinny sound happens when playing over an external speaker via bluetooth.

The phone does not run hot/drain battery when watching youtube at normal speeds.

This leads me to believe that this must be some kind of software bug in the compression algorithm of the sound playback - leading to distortion and heating up.

I didn't find anything via google - does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be and what I can do about it?

IOS Version 13.4.1 and all apps up to date.

I will, no solution so far. I fear it's a bug and we will have to wait for the next IOS update and hope that they address the issue.
