So I’m an idiot who finally caved and updated to iOS 11 yesterday. It’s not bad and I can see myself enjoying it once the kinks are worked out, but the battery life isn’t quite there yet and I’ve noticed some stuttering, amongst other hiccups. I want to revert back to iOS 10.3.3 but apparently I didn’t have the backup saved in the cloud as I had assumed I did and so now I need to get to a desktop and go the iTunes route via an IPSW download. The process is simple and I know how to do all that, but is it safe to download and install files from places like ipsw.me? My warranty on this 6s is expired anyways, so that’s not a worry. Or does anyone know any tricks to revert back to 10.3.3 with no backup and a computer not currently present?

One more question. How long do you think Apple will continue to sign off on iOS 10.3.3? The end of the week? A month?

I highly doubt it will last through the end of the week, now that 11/11.0.1/11.0.2 have been released. Normally as one is released, the older one is dropped.

The only other time they've continued to sign the previous major version this long is with iOS 9 last year which they signed until October 19th. Hard to know when they'll stop.

^^^ What they said. If you want to downgrade, I'd do it ASAP. At this point I think Apple will stop signing 10.3.3 any day now. I put both of my iPads back onto 10.3.3, one of them last night. Apple doesn't publicly announce when then will stop signing a prior iOS version.

iOS 9.3.3 is the only other time they continued signing into October since switching to September releases. Seems it's only really a safe guess right after initial release.

Really? They had it open until 10.0.2?

They had it open until releasing 10.0.3 on October 17th, then they stopped signing 9.3.3 on the 19th. The update says it fixed the iPhone 7 dropping calls. Seems like they try to fix some serious issues first.
