Has anyone gotten theirs replaced? I'm having the issue but it's not often. It doesn't respond when i tap to wake and watching a video on YT (although i'm not sure if it's YT or the phone where the controls pop-up like i touched the screen). I plan on sending it to apple possibly next week. I'll have to mail it due to no apple store near me. At the same time - I may opt to purchase a replacement battery for my X despite showing 92% health. I figured why not get that done to get in top shape and take advantage on the price before years end.

Hi!

Well I had an appointment to get my iPX-Screen replaced in mid-November.
My problem always was -just like yours-, that Tap to wake wouldn’t always work and additionally that it sometimes required multiple attempts at tapping something (e.g. the send button in WhatsApp or the delete key on the keyboard).
Long story short I was pretty unlucky, as the employee persisted on evidence that I had those problems (which I don’t have because how do you screen record that something is not being pressed), as it passed all display tests. He said it really isn’t a problem until it randomly does things on its own and if it starts doing that I can come back.
Maybe you have more luck.

I thought Apple extended the warranty for the display for 2 extra years(only the display not the rest of the phone) on the X?

Well yes, but he said that it is not necessary to replace my screen because „it isn’t really a problem“ until it starts doing things on its own.
