Use rslite instead. Just drag the "rslite" file to Terminal, press Enter and then type (with iPhone connected to your Mac):

setenv auto-boot true //press Enter
saveenv //press Enter

Now press ctrl + C and reboot your iPhone by holding Home and Power buttons for about 10 seconds.

Good luck.

I followed your instructions, but it still won't boot up?

Here's what it says in Terminal :

Do you see any problem?

Wait... iRecovery and rslite are for booting up if you're stuck in Recovery Mode (e.g. when you get error 1015 while downgrading your firmware). If you're stuck in /so-called/ Apple logo loop, you have to restore your iPhone's firmware.

I tried that, but everytime I try to restore the iPhone - it says that the build doesn't fit the iPhone ?

What to do?

Point the good one. :)

iPhone - "1,1" in firmware's name
iPhone 3G - "1,2" in firmware's name
iPhone 3GS - "2,1" in firmware's name

And remember that iPhone 3GS accepts only the newest firmware (which is 3.1.3 at the moment).
