Hi all, I sold my big ass rig for coming back to the world of OS X. I still have some old piece of junk left that I would like to use on os x and wondering what will be my best solution?

Let me start with the spare parts:

Dell U2410 24" IPS Monitor
NEC EA231wmi 23" Monitor
2tb Seagate 5900rpm Green
2* 1tb WD Black 7200rpm
Razer Naga epic mouse.

I was wondering if I buy an external hard drive case( the one that can put several hdd in it) can I connect it to the mac mini? In addition, will my 2 monitors be able to connect to the mac mini successfuly? I realize it has 1x thunderbolt and 1x hdmi, and i think none of them are thunderbolt compatible device. therefore I was wondering if there's any thunderbolt expansion available for me to plug both my monitors?

thanks in advance

You should be able to convert the mini display (thunderbolt) port to DVI with an adapter and the Mini comes with a HDMI to DVI adapter.

You can connect the drives with USB2, Firewire 4/800 or gigabit ethernet if you get a bay with network capability. Unfortunately firewire cases are a bit expensive and USB2 is a bit slow. If you don't need to use all the drives at the same time there are docks such as this one...

which comes in handy in all sorts of situations.

The mouse will work when you boot into windows, but may lack specific features on the Mac side as it will most likely be running with a generic driver (I don't think Razer develops for Mac OS).

Hope that helps.
