Before I buy a Mac mini (my first Mac ever after years of Windows PCs) I would like to confirm that it will support my Viewsonic VW1912w monitor which has a VGA socket and runs at a resolution of 1440x900 (32 bit color). When I checked a Mac mini in an Apple store I could not see 1440x900 in the list of options and the salesperson didn't really have any idea. I would be surprised and disappointed if this monitor could not be driven at 1440x900 and I suspect there is some trick to make this happen. I would appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with this issue.

Yes it works on that resolution. The screen in the store must not have supported that size, thus it wasn't an option.
