Is 3.0.1 safe at this point?

After 3.0.1 was released I waited to see what the fallout looked like before I updated. I read lots of posts about locked up phones, apps not working, etc. Is is pretty safe at this point to run the update? I mean have most people updated with no problems?

All 3.0.1 did was eliminate the SMS vulnerability.

I updated the day it came out, and I'm fine, and I haven't heard anything about locked up phones, etc.

Edit: The only problems people had were the usual problems some people have doing a restore and trying to update with loads of people on the server.

Exactly.

If people had problems (which I'm sure some did) they are the sort of problems that would have happened in 3.0 anyway since they're pretty much the same thing.

The 3.0.1 is just a an SMS bug fix and nothing more.

I haven't seen too much for problems with 3.0.1

Perhaps what you've been reading about are problems with the 3.1 beta? As everyone else has already said, 3.0.1 was just a security fix.

Beta 5? 3.1 Beta 4 hasn't even been released yet, and who knows if it will be.
