Is 500 - 800MB RAM Usage in Aperture common?

Hi,

Is it common for Aperture to use around 500-800MB of RAM? I'm using a Macbook Pro 2.0GHz w/ 2GB RAM and am running Apple Aperture 1.1.2. Thanks.

Mine uses around 300mb of real memory and about 750mb or virtual, that's running a 1.83 intel iMac with 1.5GB RAM
