Hi guys!

I'm a Brazilian Graphic Designer and I have a 15" Macbook Pro Mid 2015 256GB, but I'm thinking about changing to an iMac due to the beautiful large screen and to have more internal storage. Is there someone here who works with Graphic Design and who could tell me if an iMac with the following settings would be a good choice? I don't edit a lot of videos just some casual. My work only requires good use of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

iMac 27” 2020 (MXWU2BZ/A)

Intel Core i5
8GB
512GB SSD
AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB

Here in Brazil, it's a HUGE investment (we have a lot of taxes here), but I found this model for a good price, so I would be very pleased if someone could help me with some opinion. I'm seeing the new 24" model coming, but I'm afraid that it isn't possible to add more RAM, something that I have to think about because I want a new model to work for me for a loooooong time.

Thank you and greetings from Brazil!

If you need something now, buy it now, especially if the price is right.

The "larger screen" iMac probably won't be out until Aug/Sep (although it may be announced by Apple next month)...

I think that will be fine for non-video production. The 27" screen is really nice.

Here in U.S. I think the next model up is more popular, as it steps up to the i7 and the 5500XT for only $300 more (USD) - this is what I have, and it is more than enough for photoshop etc. But if the price differential is a lot more for you it may not be worth it. Also here the 1TB SSD is only 200 USD more and is thus popular - as larger SSDs are also a bit faster.

Suggest get 32GB or 64GB third party RAM. Unfortunately RAM prices have increased about 50% in the last 6 months.
