I'm looking at getting a spare line to replace an iPhone 7 that I have on Xfinity Mobile. The 7 is old and paid off and I just use it as an extra in my car for the most part in case I'm driving through corn fields (my main provider on my XR is T-Mobile).

Anyway, XM has their $250 rebate card on any new iPhone. Probably will take 4 months to get the card, but with the newer pricing, I can get a 64gb iPhone 8 for $481 after tax. Factoring in even a couple months at $12/mo (plus tax and fees) and less the $250 card, it should come out to a net ~$275 for a brand new iPhone 8.

Is that still a good price for that model? I'd then plan to use the old 7 to hopefully trade in to T-Mobile or Costco for a sweet upgrade around Black Friday time. Thanks!

If it retails for $450 and you're getting it for $275 what do you think? It was $600 two days ago and is still as fast or faster than some current Android flagships. A brand new 8 is worth a lot more than $275.

I think a brand new iPhone 11 Pro for 750 is an even better deal.

True but $275 is a lot less than $750. I’d rather go for the 8 myself. 3D Touch is important to me and not too thrilled they gave up the feature/technology that isn’t really that old. That is the one or two reasons holding me back from upgrading from my *Qualcomm* iPhone X.
