Is a dust guard really needed?

It’s not for the AirPods Pro themselves but the magnetic inside of the case, which apparently gathers dust which cannot be cleaned/removed (as pictured in link). Does this really happen to AirPods cases, though?

Unfortunately the link isn’t working for me, but I’m my experience with original AirPods, two pairs of AirPods 2 and one brand new AirPods pro, dust in the case has never been an issue.

To avoid that buildup, I’m cleaning the Pro case from the beginning of ownership.

I think the issue with my OG Airpods case is that I let it build up over time & the lid pressed the dirt etc. into place, making it harder to remove.

I wouldn’t go as far as inserting a cover there as it may effect the closing seal, but it could work..
 
I don't think we need dust guard for AirPods Pro. Because there is only one magnet in the centre. There should be complains until now. Mine is very clean too. You can see here there is x-ray picture and video in section 2 and 3. I was thinking to buy dust guard but now I think no need to buy because nothing happened until now.
