Hello everyone.

I'm wondering, is a quad core worth the extra money? I currently own a dual core laptop and a quad core gaming PC and the desktop is faster than my laptop but it also has 4 gigs of ram while my laptop only has 2. Anyways, will I notice a difference with OSX? I'll be using iLife, adobe programs, and MS Office or iWork.

Will I notice that much of a difference with a Quad Core?

If you tend to be more into video editing and such the quad core is worth the extra money. Running Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Indesign and other Mac apps should be good enough on Core 2 Duos. Maybe if you wait til the refresh you might get a quad core for a cheaper price.

Chances are if I do video editing I'm going to use Sony Vegas on my PC.

Thanks for the help. I'll wait for the refresh anyways because I know I'll get a cheaper product that's good.
